Garden Centers of America Select Garden Center.
This year we are being honored as one of the nurseries to be visited by the national garden center organization Garden Centers of America. It really is an honor as only 15 garden centers in MN will be on the tour. They will be touring on June 25th, 2007.

GCA Summer Tour Announced
Garden Centers of America is pleased to announce that the twin cities of Minneapolis/St. Paul, MN, will be the hosts of their 2007 Summer Tour. Held June 24 – 27, 2007, the annual event promises to be “Double the Fun,” featuring superb garden center locations throughout the region. According to Summer Tour Chairman, Jonathan Pederson of Bailey’s Nursery, “We are excited to have GCA visit the Minneapolis/St. Paul area for its delightful summer climate and excellent variety of garden centers. Each stop on the tour offers something unique to share with our attendees and we fully expect everyone to go home inspired.”
The event kicks off on Sunday evening with a reception at the host hotel, the Minneapolis Airport Marriott. The actual tours begin on Monday morning with the first stop at Bachman’s Cedar Acres Garden and Landscape Center in Farmington, MN. Other stops for Monday include Sargent’s Country Nursery and Sargent’ s on 2nd, both in Rochester, MN and Sargent’s Redwing in Redwing, MN. A dinner and awards ceremony will be held Monday evening at the St. James Hotel in historic Redwing, MN.
Tuesday promises to be a full day as well. The first stop is Lilydale Garden Center in Lilydale, MN, followed by a visit to Highland Nursery in St. Paul, MN. Gertens, in Inver Grove Heights, MN, will provide lunch in addition to a tour. Other stops on Tuesday include Bachman’s on Lyndale, Tangletown Gardens and Uncommon Gardens, all in Minneapolis, MN and Tonkadale Gardens in Minnetonka, MN.
The event wraps up on Wednesday, following another full day of touring. Stops include Otten Brothers Nursery & Landscape in Long Lake, MN, 101 Market Garden Center in Otsego, MN, Noble Nursery in Blaine, MN and Mickman Brother in Ham Lake, MN. Wednesday concludes with stops at Linder’s Garden Center and Bailey’s Nursery, both in St. Paul, MN.
